Lisa grew up in Brazil, Venezuela, and South Florida.   From her years in South America and as part of a Mexican-American family, she learned to speak both Spanish and Portuguese. Lisa's professional experience includes five years at Hilton Hotels and nine years at Valencia Community College.

From 1994 to 2001, Lisa represented Valencia Community College as an Account Manager, using a consultative sales approach to provide local businesses with relevant training programs.   As a Program Manager for the Center for Global Languages, Lisa utilizes her sales & marketing background to promote and manage its language and culture programs.

Lisa is a certified DACUM facilitator and a certified Ziglar Education Systems instructor. She holds a B.A. in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Michigan State University and a M.A. in Liberal Studies from Rollins College, Florida.
